A portfolio of investment opportunities that could create 220,000 jobs in the Midlands is launched today.
Covering the whole region, the Midlands investment portfolio showcases investment opportunities in a variety of key sectors including health and life sciences, energy, transport technology, cyber and data.
The portfolio – which has the potential to generate billions in inward investment – has been developed in collaboration with Midlands Engine partners including local authorities, local business partnerships and promotion and investment agencies.
And it is due to be officially launched today (18 May) at the UK Real Estate Infrastructure Investment Forum (UKREiiF) where the Midlands Engine partnership aims to showcase the region’s strengths to meet the urgent need to take it to the next level.

Midlands Engine partners estimate that the opportunities contained in the portfolio could support or create 220,000 jobs and generate over £33 billion in GDV (Gross Development Value).
