Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC partners with BentallGreenOak for credit investment vehicle

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited (ABSLAMC), a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Capital Limited, has announced its collaboration with BentallGreenOak, a global real estate investment management advisor that is part of SLC’s alternative asset management business Management, to form a structured credit investment vehicle.

The investment vehicle will target structured debt investments in post-approval real estate projects primarily in Tier 1 metropolitan areas.

As part of the collaboration, ABSLAMC will rely on the advice of BentallGreenOak while recommending investment opportunities to the investment committee, according to a press release.

A. Balasubramanian, MD and CEO, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited said, “We look forward to this combination of building on each other’s strengths and developing a great partnership. The real estate sector is enjoying a strong recovery with interest rates on mortgages at their lowest ten-year level and house prices remaining largely stable. We believe that substantial savings from lower interest rates and stagnating house prices will help affordability and further lead to higher demand, especially in the residential real estate segment. “

“India’s residential real estate sector is structurally attractive, driven by favorable demographics, a healthy domestic talent pool, low mortgage rates and improved transparency,” said Sonny Kalsi, co-CEO of BentallGreenOak. “Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC is a leading asset manager with strong local experience, and we are committed to investing our global resources and capabilities to build this partnership and provide access to exciting new investment avenues for our global investors and customers. »
